Job loss is something most people don't fully prepare for — until it happens.
The financial pressure, emotional weight, and uncertainty can feel overwhelming. For many, it's not just about income — it affects confidence, identity, and peace of mind.
This website was created to help people pause, reflect, and better understand where they stand before a crisis happens.
The Job Loss Stress Assessment is designed as a simple, practical tool to help you think through your financial readiness, emotional stress, and support systems. It is not meant to predict the future or replace professional advice — but to give you a clearer starting point and help you take thoughtful next steps.
Many of the ideas shared here align with commonly recommended financial preparedness principles — presented in plain language, from a place of personal experience rather than theory.
Our mission is to help individuals and families prepare for unexpected job loss with greater awareness, resilience, and hope.
We believe that when people understand their situation more clearly, they can make better decisions, reduce panic, and move forward with confidence.

I didn't build this website from theory — I built it from lived experience.
In my fifties, I went through a period of job loss during one of the most difficult times in my life. I sent out resume after resume, but nothing came back. Eventually, I lost my apartment.
For a season, I rented a small office space — and for eight months, that office became the place where I both worked and slept.
There was no other time in my life when my self-esteem was tested so deeply.
What carried me through was perseverance and faith. My relationship with Jesus Christ gave me strength when everything else felt uncertain. That experience changed how I see resilience, preparation, and what truly matters.
I created this tool because I know how overwhelming job loss can feel — and I want others to have something I didn't have at the time: a way to step back, evaluate their situation, and begin moving forward with clarity.
This website is built on real-life experience, practical thinking, and a genuine desire to help others navigate difficult seasons.
While I am not a financial advisor or medical professional, everything here is created with care, honesty, and respect for the seriousness of job loss and stress.
The goal is not to replace expert guidance, but to provide a helpful starting point for reflection and preparation.
